Two weeks on since the last update, work on the main house has slowed
to a crawl. The tiling on the first floor is almost complete, but the cantina
floor has not yet been started. Some plastering has been done, but
there's still a lot more to do. Walls on the first floor have received a first
coat of paint, but as this was in a different colour than had been specified,
it has to be completely re-done.
Remedial work on the tobacco tower has now commenced as we have at
last moved out of there and into the cottage, over two months later than
scheduled.
It's unlikely that the work on the tobacco tower will be finished before
Christmas - a significant disappointment. We are currently working on a
revised total completion date of end-January.
